How much do you now about Brecht? It sounds like you know nothing. The show you saw sounds like it was an awesome interpretation of a Brecht play.

I could not disagree more, I loved it, I am a huge supporter of modern innovative theatre, Puchdrunk, Wild Works, Kneehigh and many more, this was a brave attempt to make Brecht accessible and exciting and for me it worked, Fiona Shaw was brilliant, compelling and emotionally moving, the set was great and the band was the right mix of rough and timeless, theatre has to develop in multi media direction and yet keep whatever the message is, be it the evils of war the powerlessness of the masses, or anything else intact, it seems to me that theaatre is in a transitional state and this was a brave attempt along kneehigh lines to achieve something really interesting.

I thought Fiona Shaw was fantastic. Not keen on the production adn yes, the music made me want to slit my wrists (and not in a 'Brechtian' bleak way. It was just bloody awful and didn't fit.
